Violet’s Book Exchange Book Credit Policy
Books are accepted for trade credit subject to the following conditions and guidelines:
*Books must be in good condition. Covers and dust jackets, as well as pages in poor condition will reduce the credit value. These books may not be accepted because of condition and the availability of the book.
*Credit for paperbacks is based on the printed retail prices and the book condition. The amount of credit offered is up to ¼ of the Book Exchange’s anticipated selling price, condition, availability and age of the book.
*Books currently on the best sellers’ list of most newspapers may receive greater credit at the Book Exchange’s discretion.
*Credit may be applied up to 50% or ½ of the purchase price of used books available in the Book Exchange with the exception of books marked as a cash sale. New books are marked as new and credit can be used for 25% or ¼ of the purchase price.
*Credit slips will be issued to the customer at the time of the transaction.
*The Book Exchange will be happy to discuss with you the amount of credit offered at the time the credit slip is issued. No cash payments will be offered. Credit may not be used toward purchases involving any and all Book Exchange coupons or on items designated as sale items. The Book Exchange reserves the right to limit the use of credit received for Romance books to the same category of books.
